Testosterone and Life Span

The three studies posted here (as of 12/04/07) have all found a close correlation between testosterone levels and longevity in men. The more testosterone, the longer they will live, at least statistically. It would be surprising if the same didn't hold true for women.

This finding corroborates the seriousness of testosterone deficiency. It is a common fatal disease in that it is often a contributing factor in many of the diseases that kill us. That reality has simply not been generally recognized as yet.

These studies support that contention in another way. They confirm the very broad scope of the disease because no single cause, or even multiple causes, could be identified. Testosterone deficiency wears many, many, different hats as it helps to bring about our end.
